Morning Glories
"Buddies"
From the buddy system when on a field trip in elementary school to a spouse to a business partner, we see examples of connection and dependence all around the world. What can one deduce from this evidence but the fact that humans are made with a need for others?
"Blurry Purple"
Out of focus
Not in place
When did she loose her chance
To be in center stage?
Instead the eye
Sees thousands of stalks
One green as the next
Rather than purple locks
Topping a head
Who missed her chance
But still stands in the scene
As the color of this expanse
"Grassy Waves"
One bends after the other. Each carries the effect of the wind onto the next. Then stands up only to bow once more. Over and over again. If grass had a soul, would it not ask itself, "What is the point of me living this existence? Blowing pointlessly in the wind? Bending as just one more stalk in the millions under the dictatorship of the wind?". Yet as I view the grass' vibrant green under sunny skies, my heart is thankful for every blade that presents its color. When my eye catches a scene of "amber waves of grain" sweeping through the lawns, I am thankful. Each blade makes a difference. And together they make the true effect which ignites awe in watchers.
"Camouflaged"
Unseen
Undetected
Unnoticed
Camouflaged
No recognition
Or spotlight
Yet safe
And hidden
So life might
Burst forth
In its right time
Then fly
Seen
Admired
Known
Uncamouflaged
I love these! My favorite is "Camoflage." However, my favorite picture is of my favorite flower. :)
