Writing Again...

It has been a long while since I have written my own poetry on the blog.  I miss writing lines that sway  in sync.  So despite a bit of a lack in creativity today, I want to attempt to connect with the following pictures in words.  I hope that my efforts may bring even one encouraging word to your heart!

Looking away
Avoiding again
Everything's an effort
Heaving heavy
Loads lumped
Together tactlessly
Staggering strenuously
Under unbearable
Burdens
Thrown my way
Today
Yesterday
Again tomorrow?
No more sorrow!
Please, some relief!
End this grief!
With no answer
I turn away
Weak today

Come forward, but watch
I stand without a flinch
Confidence now top notch
Never moving an inch.
Secretly, I tremble inside
Not feeling brave at all
Yet courage onward strides
With soul in a squall.

In the garden on a fine spring day
After a night of tremendous rain
Brave buds peaks delicate heads out
Excited, their little voices shout
Yet scattered among these children
Lay remains of lives forgotten
Vibrant souls once thriving
Now on the ground retiring
Without voice to make presence known
Together this paradox sown
In the garden bed

A little one only seen
Because he sits upon another
One bigger, mightier than he

I tell a story.
Outside you see
But the cover
Scratched now,
Chipped and
Worn out.
Without key
You view only
The cover.
But search!
Treasure lays
Beyond,
Worthy of
Your time.
Find the key,
Earn my trust.
Inside
You'll find
Layers,
Complexity,
Wonder,
Depth.
Rather than
A two dimensional
Surface.
I'm made of
More.
Please take
Time
Find my
Key.

Does one think better when alone,
Summoning up the depth of their selves?
Or is collective opinion holding sweeter tone
With many choices place upon the shelves?

Play the music!
Touch those keys!
Fill dreary life with ease
Tap the white
And black too
Create a melody
or maybe two
Bring harmony here
Oh let them hear!
The powerful
And unifying
Notes unfold.

Never stop learning, a wise man told me
Though you grow elderly, continue to reach
For new ideas to challenge the old
Build on your knowledge with that yet untold
Humble yourself to admit ignorance
Then receive openly the sweet gift
For knowledge grows the mind and beautifies life
Pulls one through challenge and storms of strife.

Remember the time
When we loved deeply
Saw beyond the flaws
To complexity beneath?
Remember the time
We connected deeply
Helped without complaint
Embraced ourselves
And each person in sight?

An ocean
A fire
A symphony
Healing
Discouragement
A wound
A friend
Trauma
Grace
What could
Be this and more?
A word.

Fall down
Get up
Move on
With help
Learn slowly
Go alone
Call out
Fall down
Get up
Move on
With help
Learn slowly
Go alone
Soar

This is a moment of complete honesty... I have run out of poem-steam!  Thus, I am going to leave the following photos unnamed, hoping the images themselves will speak to you in the ways most needed.
