Below is a poem that I wrote as I sat with God in the morning during one of my first days serving in Thailand summer of 2025. God beckoned me to Thailand as a place where He began to untangle me from chains of slavery as I joined the faithful work of His servants reaching out to women enslaved in prostitution, calling out with the hope of Truth, the Redeemer who came among us to set us free!

The Word who spoke
in the beginning,
Creation's cause,
now wailing a babe's
vulnerable cry.
Sustainer of life
now laid out
as an offering,
body broken
as bread.
Roaring Lion who
made earth tremble
now wrapped,
protected and prepared,
as Lamb for sacrifice.
Infinite God wearing
limitation and lack.
He who breathed
life into mankind
brought to gasp for
air smelling of dung.
Unwelcomed, no room,
for the Rescuer come
to redeem children
into the Kingdom.
Deep calls to deep
grasping for words
to worship; O!
no tongue can capture
this mraculous
humble heart.
So the Word came
among us.
He gave all,
I receive grace!

A further note: God Almighty chooses to make Himself vulnerable in Love. He exposed Himself to the rejection of mankind in the epitome of His Love demonstrated on the cross.
